Character Overview

Torik was born on the sheer cliffs of the Ogolakanu Range, a place where thunder rolled like migrating beasts and lightning stitched the sky in restless patterns. His clan believed the storms were living ancestors—giants of old whose spirits still roared across the heavens. Torik’s mother claimed that on the night of his birth, a bolt struck the cliffside so close it split a boulder in half. The elders took it as a sign: the storm had marked him.

Keeneye

Broad-shouldered and storm-touched, Torik carried the faint blue shimmer of giant blood beneath his skin, but it was his extraordinary vision that truly distinguished him.

Torik could spot a mountain goat moving across a distant ridge, recognise a shift in the clouds before a storm broke and read the tension in a warrior's stance before the first blow was struck.

The clan gave him a name.

Keeneye.

The Fractured Clan

Goliath clans are proud, and pride can fracture stone. When a bitter dispute over leadership split the Ogolakanu clan, Torik refused to choose a side. His neutrality was seen as weakness, and weakness is unforgivable in the high places. He was cast out - not with hatred, but with the cold practicality of mountain folk.

The Stormbound Path

Torik’s ancestry began to awaken during their travels. Lightning responded to his anger. Thunder rolled when he shouted. Rainstorms gathered unnaturally fast when he was wounded. Brock Kuma, ever the scholar of strange magic, helped him understand it: Torik wasn’t merely descended from storm giants—he was being claimed by that lineage.

Channelling the Tempest

Together they sought out ancient shrines, forgotten cairns, and storm scarred ruins. Torik learned to channel the tempest without losing himself to it. Brock kept him grounded, reminding him that even giants need roots.
